What would you do if you had to catch 100 doves for the king’s weeding? This is what happens in the short story “The Hundredth Dove” by Jane Yolen. The hundredth dove was my favorite short story because it was following the mode of symbolism. This short story the hundredth dove was following the tragedy plot line. If I where the fowler that had to catch 100 doves for the king I would go with what the queen said and ask her if she wants 100 doves for her wedding.
To begin with this short story follows the tragedy mode of literature. Main charter is in conflict because the fowler has to catch 100 doves for the king and queen’s weeding. The main charter is in conflict because this is the kings wedding and if he doesn’t have 100 doves he will be in trouble. Main charter rises to power because the fowler never misses birds. This is a rise to power because the flower never misses a bird so that he will catch them all. Tragic flaw is that he is one short from 100. This is a flaw because he needs 100 birds by tomorrow for the wedding. Tragic fall is that the main charter doesn’t know that the last bird is the queen. This fits in the fall because he could kill the queen. Death is that the fowler killed the last bird. But the last bird was the queen. This fits into the death because someone dies.
Another is that this author wrote this story because to tell people that you should be careful. And that the follower should have not killed her. The follower should have talked to the queen and listened to her. This author also wrote this story because he wants to let you know that this happens in the real world. He wasn’t listening to the queen.

story. This short story was good because you could imagine this in your head. Which lets you
